English version
The TUTTIFRUTTI website is a web-application fulfilling web-standards and requirements. It can be used on any device (computer, tablet, smartphone) through a web-browser (Mozilla, Chrome, Safari, ...). But you can also create your own App. In this latter case, you can use a barcode scanner to scan products, whereas in a web-browser you may have to type in the barcode manually instead.

Note: the above link provides details for creating your App on smartphones running Android. This requires the addition of 2 extra Apps available on the Play Store.
If you know similar Apps on the iTunes store, please fell free to contact the author of the blog who will update this news.

Be advised: using the application on a device with a mouse (typically a computer) or without a mouse (typically a tablet or smartphone) implies a few differences in the available functionalities. So does it when using the application inside a web-browser or through the App whose installation procedure is described above.

For this reason, some of the functionalities described below may be stamped with the following icons when applicable:
  • : computer with a mouse, PC
  • : browsers on any kind of device, but without a mouse (pointing device), nor barcode-scanner App
  • : App fully installed as described in the above link, and especially with a functional & running barcode-scanner App
Your country should be displayed automatically in the Country field. If not, select it in the list which is suggested after you have clicked on the field.
The selection of the country locks the screen shortly so that known stores can be retrieved. You may (or may not) select a Store in the list.
Finally, enter the Barcode of a product:
  • type it in manually, and click on the Go button
  • use the barcode scanner icon which binds to the barcode App which you have installed previously from the App-store.
If your product is known and contains enough information in the OpenFoodFacts-Graph nutrition-score database, a graph with similar products is shown (central part) along with suggestions of better products (blue ribbon at the bottom).
Note: the white ellipse stands for the position of your product in the graph. By default, when no product is search, it is located at the worst position (red ribbon) and the graph is empty.

Click on this icon at the right-hand side of the top-banner to see the main menu.
From this menu, you can get help on how to use the application, create your own App on your smartphone (Android so far, but you may easily adapt it to other mobile-OS).
Since all the primary resources, i.e. the products themselves, are updated on a regular basis by an international, benevolent and vibring community (data from Openfoodfacts), you can also reach this community through a single click via this menu.
Last but not least, connect to the twitter community or grab into the details of the graph and its backend engine called PROSIM by surfing on its dedicated blog.
