The tuttifrutti website is Web-browser oriented. No permissions are required. So you may use it very easily by opening the URL in a browser anywhere (PC, tablet, smartphone), entering into the barcode field the barcode of the product for which you are looking for similar products, and by pressing the GO button.
However, entering the barcode manually is pretty tedious, and you may want to use external barcode-scanner App instead and also integrate the Tuttifrutti into an App-like icon on your smartphone.
Here is how to proceed in order to:
- add an App-like icon of the site on your smartphone (Android)
- connect it to a barcode-scanner App for full integration
Step 1: install and configure barcode scanner
Installation
From Google Play, search for the App Website shortcut and install it.
Configuration and binding to tuttifrutti
- Start the App
- press the configuration "key" of your smartphone: a "settings" panel should appear; click on it
- locate and select the "results settings / customized search URL" ("paramètres de résultat / URL de recherche personnalisée")
- enter the following url in the field and click "OK" (note: "/?" is important!):
http://tuttifrutti.alwaysdata.net/?barcode=%s
Step 2: install Website shortcut
From Google Play, search for the App Website shortcut and install it.
Step 3: install tutifrutti
Follow gesture instructions given in this video to complete the installation of tuttifrutti as App on your smartphone.That's all folk!
